Black Box UFO Contact By Pilots And Astronauts pt3

excerpt from The History Channel

Black Box is the common term for the cockpit voice recorders found in all commercial aircraft. These recorders, besides recording flight data, record all conversations from the cockpit to the ground based air traffic control towers. Black Box UFO's are sightings by these commercial pilots that have been caught on tape to the air traffic controllers. We consider these tapes, especially when backed up by radar trackings of the suspect UFO's, to be some of the most credible of UFO encounters.

These commercial pilots are trained observers with thousands of hours in the air under all conceivable conditions. The safey of themselves, as well as their aircraft and passengers, is dependent on their knowledge of the skies. Sure they have radar, but their visual observations of other traffic in the air is also of extreme safety importance. They are not likely to be easily fooled by common aerial phenomena. The scoffing of some skeptics that UFO sightings are nothing but untrained observers seeing "lights in the sky" is hard to apply to them.

The Black Box term has been somewhat widened in modern UFOlogy to include recordings by other credible sources. Recordings of Police sightings relayed to their dispatchers and backed by numerous other officers on the scene is an example. Some military recordings have also come to light, although the military doesn't like it and won't discuss them. UFO encounters have also been widened to include sightings of so-called USO's or Unidentified Submersible Objects. These are really just UFO's which are observed to either enter or exit from bodies of water.

In fact, Dr J Allen Hynek, the chief civilian scientist at the Air Force's famed Project Blue Book became aware of numerous military sightings that the Air Force refused him access to.  It would be hard for them to pressure him to explain away such encounters by their highly trained pilots with swamp gas, stars, or some other ridiculous excuse.  Dr Hynek, initially a skeptic, became a believer that many sightings deserved serious scientific study. He found out, however, that Blue Book apparently was not the scientific inquiry that the Air Force publicly made it out to be.

Their real mission was to have him simply debunk any and all sightings with any convenient explanation, no matter how implausible. Finding out the real truth was not an option. So when he found out that the Air Force was discussing terminating Blue Book, Hynek fought against it and continued on his own quest after the Air Force did end it.

In recent years there have also come to light recordings, both audio and video , from NASA space missions. These encounters apparently began immediately in the early missions, continued on through the Apollo Moon missons and even today on Shuttle missions. These are recorded reports from intensively trained astronauts and any intelligent person would have to deem them worthy of serious scrutiny.  While most astronauts won't comment on such sitings publicly, at least one former astronaut is on the record as a UFO believer.

Bottom line: That is the reason for this site. To provide credible resources that contribute to the UFO debate.

We here at Black Box UFO's, while considering ourselves skeptics, are nonetheless open minded skeptics. With the billions upon billions of planets just in our own galaxy that probably have developed life, its not impossible to believe that some may have developed space travel. The question is whether they have actually come here.
